Wild at Heart Walks

Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust would like to invite you to “Exploring Sheffield” – a series of strolls they are delivering across Sheffield on Wednesdays, which are running until the end of November 2021.

These walks have been generously funded by the Cadent Foundation.

The sites have been chosen for having good transport links by bus or tram, having accessible walking routes, having toilets nearby, benches and picnic tables on route, and having some wonderful wildlife and stunning views of Sheffield to enjoy!

They will be exploring: Manor & Castle S2 area, the Waterways near Sheffield City Centre, and finally Sheffield Botanical Gardens in S10. At each site, they will start at 11am and finish at 1pm, but you can bring a packed lunch and stay longer for a picnic if you wish. Each session will involve a stroll around the area and they will do some nature connection activities along the way—see the programme enclosed for activity. ideas, when and where to meet, and public transport to the meeting places.

Booking is essential as we will be bringing resources for everyone to use and enjoy, and so that we can stick to Covid19 guidance and let anyone know if anything changes.

For people in financial difficulties, there is funding to reimburse you for your bus/tram ticket to each site—but please let us know in advance when you book so that we can bring the change to pay you back in the session.

To book onto a session, please email Jenny King at J.King@wildsheffield.com, message them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/WildatHeartproject, or ring 0114 2634335.
