Art of Wellbeing

We run a programme of sessions open to Disabled People, PAs and Carers to help improve your mental wellbeing, make new friends and learn new skills.

Art of Wellbeing: Quilting and Knitting

Edward Dunn Memorial Hall, Maltby S66 7NQ

Fiona and Ellen (from Project Linus – Rotherham) will be providing pre-cut packs of different quilting designs and providing advice and support. You will get the opportunity to try new quilt designs which will then be donated to baby unit and Children wards at Rotherham hospital; Refuge centres and children centres.    If you don’t fancy sewing, you can bring your knitting and crochet needles and knit one. Help is on hand to teach your to knit.

We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month session. Come along and learn a new skill, give something back to the community and have some fun and meet and with other people again.

All you need to do is bring along your sewing machine, and we will provide the fabrics and other materials for quilts. If you do not have a machine – don’t worry we have 4 that have been donated but you will need to book a machine for the day.
