Skydiving 15,000m for Active Independence

t has been a busy week for Active Independence
Abby and Izzy kindly volunteered to sky dive to help raise funds for us. And the dive finally happened yesterday.
Abby has been struggling with her health over the last few years and was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in January.
This time last year she struggled to get out of bed some days, had not attend college so had been home studying, she only managed to sit 2 A level exams and was very depressed and anxious, worrying if she had ruined her chance to go to Uni.
She managed to get a place at Sheffield Hallam doing the course she wanted. We have supported her to get PIP, Blue Badge, support from Disability Support at her Uni and Student Disability grant with additional support to help her studies. She had a amazing year at Uni and passed with flying grades.
Abby was so proud of herself yesterday, she said “I wasn’t scared, I was thinking I have overcome so much in the last year. Throwing myself out of a plane is nothing”
We don’t agree… it was amazing and brave thing to jump out of plane at 15,000m.
We can’t thank Abby and Izzy enough. So far they have raised over £1,000. If you would like to show your support please click on link below
