I am parent to a 24yr old Male with Cerebral Palsy & ASD.

Through my son I have been involved with young disabled adults through a group called SANDS and been away on weekend breaks with them as an additional support worker.

I have also worked for Hesley Group in Rossington supporting adults with Autism and other challenging behaviour as well as being part of a team supporting an adult in his own home.

I have a great deal of empathy for the person being supported along with their family as it is something I deal with on a daily basis.

My last job required a DBS certificate, but only a basic one. I have previously had enhanced DBS's due to my roles as a carer and a support worker at College.
