Early years personal assistant
  • 08/06/2026

I can offer a caring, patient, and understanding approach, supported by personal experience caring for family members with a range of needs. I have helped care for my mum, who has fibromyalgia and ADHD, which has given me experience providing practical support, understanding individual needs, and adapting to changing circumstances. I also helped care for my grandad at home, developing skills in providing reliable assistance while maintaining dignity and independence.

In addition, I have grown up alongside my brother, who is autistic, and I have an autistic niece. This has given me a good understanding of autism, including the importance of routine, clear communication, patience, and supporting people in a way that respects their individual preferences and strengths.

I am compassionate, dependable, and keen to build a positive relationship based on trust and respect. I understand that every autistic person is unique, and I am committed to learning about the young person’s individual interests, needs, and goals so I can provide the best possible support and help them enjoy activities, develop confidence, and maintain their independence.
