I am new to the role of a personal care assistant. However, since the age of 15 I have worked as a sales assistant, energy consultant, sports leader and a children's party organiser at The Hatfield Chase. Within my family I have 4 younger siblings so I have always been around children and enjoyed caring for them. I also have a 9 month old son who is my pride and joy. In the past I have undertook 2 work placements at Hatfield Manor Junior School as a Teaching Assistant. Throughout all this I have definately realised that organisation is vital! I love caring for other people regardless of what age they are. To know that I have made someone's day by putting a smile on their face makes me feel brilliant. My great Nana is 90 on December the 2nd and has suffered from dementia for the past 11 years. For the past 5 years she has been in end of life care. Since she has been in a nursing home I have learnt so much more things in life. Mainly that suiting individuals needs is essential. My skills are Communication, PATIENCE, computing, time keeping and general house keeping.
