I am a mature 39 year old with over 10 years experience working within the care sector, in both private and care home settings. My role within the private sector has provided the professional care and support needed to enable vulnerable individuals to continue residing within their own homes. I am fully conversant with all aspects of Alzheimer's, Dementia etc. and the challenging behaviour related to these diseases. I have a profound knowledge of lifting/handling, movement, being fully trained in the use of all relevant equipment, using the appropriate policies at all times. I also have extensive experience ordering/administering of medication and dealing with nutritional complications. I have expert liaison skills with all relevant professional bodies and fellow co-workers. I pride myself on having a professional but friendly approach to my work, I am totally committed to my chosen vocation. I am reliable and trustworthy to the highest degree with the necessary requirement of a good sense of humour, a bubbly personality and plenty of common sense.
