I am currently working in my local care home on the residential side, but I also cared for my parents prior to their death in 2012.

I have experience in all aspects of caring for elderly residents in a nursing home setting, including lifting and handling, personal care needs, toileting and incontinence care, feeding and dressing.

Although I love my job, I am looking for a role as a one-to-one carer, which will enable me to get to know the person I care for much better.

I am understanding, empathetic, sensitive to the needs of the elderly and experienced at communicating with clients with hearing or communication difficulties.
