How do I apply for a job?
Looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) role? Our Job Board is the place to find opportunities, and getting started is simple!
1. Register and Build Your Profile:
First, you'll need to register as a candidate on our platform. Take your time to fill out your profile thoroughly. The more information you provide about your experience, skills, and availability, the more likely employers will be interested in connecting with you. Think of your profile as your online CV – make it shine!
2. Apply for Jobs Directly:
Once you've found a job that interests you on the Job Board, simply scroll to the bottom of the advertisement. You'll find an "Apply Now" link. Clicking this allows you to:
- Send a short message directly to the employer.
- Upload your CV.
The employer will then receive your application and can contact you directly to discuss the role further.
Important Reminder:
Please remember that you will not be employed by Active Independence. When you secure a PA role through our Job Board, the individual who employs you will have full responsibility for all aspects of your employment.
How do I know when a new job is posted?
Staying up-to-date with new job adverts is easy!
To get job alerts delivered straight to your inbox:
- Look for the "Subscribe to job alerts" box on the right-hand menu of the PA Job Board webpage.
- Enter your email address.
You will receive an email letting you know when a new job has been posted.
How will I know if my application has been successful?
After you apply for a job, it's up to the employer to decide how they want to proceed. Typically, they'll follow up with an email or a call to arrange an interview or further discussions.
I have forgotten my password!
Don't worry, it happens! You can easily request a new password:
- Click the "Remind Password" link at the bottom of the Employee Panel Register form.
- You'll be prompted to enter the email address you used to register your account.
- Click "get a new password," and it will be sent to your email.
Please note: If you've tried to log in unsuccessfully multiple times, your account will be temporarily timed out. You'll need to wait 20 minutes before you can try logging in again with the correct password.
How do I keep my details up to date?
You can update your profile anytime! We highly recommend you do so whenever your situation changes to ensure employers see your most current information. We won't prompt you, so remember to update it yourself.
Is there a charge for using PA Job Board?
No, if you're a Personal Assistant, using this service is completely free of charge.
How is my privacy protected?
We take your privacy seriously. We have removed the facility that employers could search for PAs looking for work.
If you wish to apply for advertised jobs, and only the Active Independence team will be able to access your profile. We will never share your details with anyone else.
Can I use a fake name?
We don't have a policy requiring you to use your real name. You can use a fake name on your profile. Just be aware that if you pursue a specific job, potential employers will eventually need to know your real identity.
Do I need a DBS certificate or employer references?
It depends on the employer. While it's good practice for them to ask for these as evidence of your suitability, it's not always a legal requirement for every PA role.
Can I delete my details?
Yes, you can delete your account at any time. Simply Contact Us - with your name and the email address you use on the site, and we will permanently remove your records from our system. Please note that deleted accounts cannot be recovered.
