Job Description:
We are looking for two reliable, enthusiastic and proactive people to become a small support team providing cleaning and personal assistant support to a disabled lady in her own home.
This is a varied and rewarding role suited to someone who is practical, organised, and genuinely enjoys helping others to live independently.
Main Responsibilities
You will be jointly responsible for helping to ensure the home is:
Clean, safe and well organised (regular cleaning and household tasks)
Food shopping is planned and ordered online
Some cooking and meal preparation
Support with gardening,outdoor and DIY tasks
Support with outings (local trips, appointments, fresh air and activities)
Support with medication, including assistance with an injection (training can be provided if needed)
Prompts with eating and drinking and resting

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
Fit and active – the role involves moving around, some physical tasks and outings
Enthusiastic and positive with a good sense of humour
Highly reliable and trustworthy
Have a good eye for detail and take pride in keeping things clean and organised
Able to use their own initiative and work independently
Kind, patient and respectful of personal boundaries
Comfortable working in a private home environment
Previous experience as a cleaner, carer or personal assistant is helpful but not essential – attitude and reliability are more important. Knowledge of chronic illnesses and neurodivergence, and how they vary and impact life would be beneficial.
