DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and friendly session exploring the world of pom pom garland making! Forget the old\, time-consuming cardboard method – we’ll be using new and improved tools that make pom poms easier and faster to create. These beautiful garlands will look amazing in your home or make a thoughtful\, handmade gift. \nThe wool we’ll be using has been generously donated by a local resident and is also being used by our sister group in Maltby. They’re knitting small quilts for babies\, which are then donated to the Rotherham Children’s Hospital. \nIf you have any unloved and unused wool\, please bring it along! We’d be happy to put it to good use.

SUMMARY:Mushroom Painting
DESCRIPTION:Yes\, you read that right – mushroom painting! But this isn’t your typical art class. We’ll be upcycling and repurposing those leftover champagne and wine corks from the festive season. Did you know that an estimated 13 billion bottle corks end up in landfills each year? While Waitrose has recently introduced a cork recycling scheme (the first retailer in 2024 to do so!)\, we’ll be taking direct action by transforming these corks into charming freestanding or hanging mushrooms. We’ll use bright and pastel spring-like colors to bring them to life. \nIf you have any champagne or wine corks\, please save them and bring them along! This is also a great opportunity to use up any old acrylic paints you might have lurking in sheds or garages – brights\, pastels\, or whatever inspires you! Let your creativity flow and create your own unique mushroom designs.
