Active Independence is supporting Inclusion London campaign to ensure that the voices of all Deaf and Disabled people are heard and considered in the social care reform.
We all want to live a good life. However, some of us need support to help us do this. So let’s all make sure the reforms enable us to achieve this vision. The announcements on Social Care Reform so far will not improve the lives of working-age Disabled people, especially those who do not have significant assets. Disabled people and DDPOs were not consulted, and the talk is mainly about care homes and the social care sector. It is not about our lives.
Now is the window of opportunity. So let’s all work together to transform social care.
We are encouraging members to send the letter drafted by Inclusion London to your local MPs
