I have been working as a healthcare assistant for many years. I have worked in a small residential setting with young adults with disabilities. I have worked as a personal care assistant for a gentleman who had Parkinson’s Disease. My last three jobs have been as a complex healthcare assistant, working one to one with a young lady who had Retts syndrome. A little girl of three years who had Edwards syndrome, and an eight year old boy who had West syndrome. The last three years I have been working nights.

As well as mandatory training, I have also done:
Catheter care training
Suction training, nasal, oral and tracheal suction
Tracheostomy training
PEG / PEJ feeding training
Oxygen therapy training
Saturation monitoring
Epilepsy training
