PERSONAL STATEMENT:
I am a Parent of twin boys who both have addional needs. Through my own personal experience, employment and voluntary work- I have developed a keen interest and I am extremely passionate about helping others and together working in equal partnership to create more positive, brighter futures particularly for families who have children/young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) & Social, Emotional, Mental Health Needs (SEMH) needs like I do. Whilst caring for my children, being an active volunteer and working part-time shows that I am efficient at managing my time, working to deadlines and working under pressure.

VOLUNTARY WORK, EMPLOYMENT & EDUCATION:
Personal Assistant | April 2017 – ongoing
I am responsible and contracted to deliver care to my client who has a disability/complex medical needs whilst also providing social opportunities.

Implementation Team | Rotherham Charter/Genuine Partnerships
January 2017 – ongoing
Communicating in a variety of ways with parents and practitioners. Delivering training and presentations as part of a team- locally, regionally and nationally. Working in coproduction with all partners to create better outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Peer Support | Rotherham Parent Carers Forum

To offer information, advice and support to Parents/Carers who have children/young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities.

Fulltime Mum | November 2011 – ongoing
Raising my two children who both have additional needs. During this time, I have learnt real-life skills which include: multitasking, planning, preparation, negotiation, delegation. I have also learnt how to build and sustain relationships whilst working in equal partnership with services including Health and Education.

Customer Care Assistant | McDonalds Restaurants Ltd
August 2009 – November 2011
Offering the customers a warm welcome to the restaurant and anticipating what they need. This included everything from clearing trays and explaining the menu, to getting to know the regular customers. Working mostly in the dining area, I monitored quality and cleanliness and ensured everything ran smoothly. I was trained to a high standard of customer service, cleanliness and hygiene.
