Active Independence will be continuing to run our Quilting Group with Rotherham Project Linus Group during 2022.

The sessions will happen once a month every second Tuesday until July. The sessions will be held in the main room at Edward Dunn Memorial Hall, Maltby.

Dates:

  • Tues 11th January    12- 2:30pm
  • Tues 8th February    12 – 2:30pm
  • Tues 8th March         12 – 2:30pm
  • Tues 12th April         12 – 2:30pm
  • Tues 10th May          12 – 2:30pm
  • Tues 14th June         12 – 2:30pm
  • Tues 12th July          12 – 2:30pm

Ellen (from Project Linus – Rotherham and Doncaster) and Fiona (our Project Officer) will be providing pre-cut packs of different quilting designs and providing advice and support. Each week we will get to try new designs and then the squares we make will be put together to create a quilt, which will then be donated to baby unit in local hospitals. All you need to do is bring along your sewing machine, and we will provide the fabrics.

If you don’t fancy sewing, you can bring your knitting and crochet needles and knit one.

This will be an ideal opportunity to come along and learn a new skill, give something back to the community and have some fun and meet and with other people again.

Places are limited – please contact Fiona to book your place at fiona.m@activeindependence.org or call 07429 709849
