Active independence and the Personalisation Forum Group met yesterday to explore ways in which we can work together as user led organisations. The meeting was vibrant and exciting as we soon realised how much we have in common and how much we can learn from each other.

We each talked about how we have developed as user-led groups and the kinds of work we are involved with. Whilst there are differences in our areas of expertise our core values and purposes are the same; we are both using our direct experiences of using services to provide support and advocacy and to campaign on behalf of those whose voices are least heard.

We have already begun planning joint pieces of work on which we will keep you updated, so watch this space!
