Art of Wellbeing: Quilting and Knitting

22/11/2022 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free
The sessions will happen TWICE a month every second and Fourth Tuesdays 12pm – 3pm at Edward Dunn Memorial Hall, Maltby S66 7NQ
Ellen (from Project Linus – Rotherham and Doncaster) and Fiona (our Project Officer) will be providing pre-cut packs of different quilting designs and providing advice and support.
You will get the opportunity to try new quilt designs which will then be donated to baby unit in local hospitals.
Come along and learn a new skill, give something back to the community and have some fun and meet and with other people again.
All you need to do is bring along your sewing machine, and we will provide the fabrics and other materials for quilts.
If you do not have a machine – don’t worry we have three that have been donated but you will need to book a machine for the day.
If you don’t fancy sewing, you can bring your knitting and crochet needles and knit one. Help is on hand to teach your to knit.
These sessions are open to disabled people, carers and PAs.
Places are limited – please contact Fiona to book your place at fiona.m@activeindependence.org
