Age UK Rotherham: Wellbeing Calls & Virtual Activity Clubs

Receive a regular friendly phone call or join others in a virtual activity club

Age UK have introduced two new services to help older people in Rotherham and their carers keep in touch with others during the current pandemic.

  •  Wellbeing calls – a free, regular phone call from a member of our experienced Age UK Rotherham team to check you’re OK and help to sort any difficulties you may be having.
  •  Virtual activity clubs – a regular group phone call you dial into with activities such as bingo, quizzes and reminiscence hosted by one of our friendly team (these are free to join but call costs may apply).

Both services are available to all older people in the Rotherham Borough. If you think they could help you call our team on 07782 550 926.

Information and advice service

Along with our new services, we provide a range of practical and useful support for older people in Rotherham.

Our free and confidential information and advice service is for all older people, their families and carers in Rotherham. Right now this is a telephone based service and is available between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday.

We can also help with benefit applications including Attendance Allowance, Blue Badges and benefit checks.

Call our team on 01709 835 214 (choose option 2).
