Unison Supports PAs

In recent months we have found ourselves spending more and more time offering support, advice and guidance to PAs on a whole range of issues from health & safety to holiday entitlements. We are very aware there seems to be very little support for PAs out there so we were pleased to be contacted by Natalie Ratcliffe at Unison, the public service trade union.

Unison have identified PAs as a workforce which is hard to reach and has been largely ‘under the radar’. Natalie says:

“Unison is the union for Personal Assistants. More and more workers are finding employment as PAs providing support and care for people. Unison want to work with Personal Assistants to develop and deliver training and development, promote excellent care practice, help lift the status of the profession and ultimately secure better outcomes for service users. Unison are concerned about the pay and working condition of Personal Assistants.
