I am an experienced care worker, with the last 7 years working as a Personal Assistant..
I have extensive experience in working with people with mental health problems including Altzheimers, Parkinsons and Schitzophrenia.
I am a qualified First Aider. I also have experience in moving and handling, including hoist use.
I previously worked as a Senior Carer, where I was responsible for creating care plans and risk assessments as well as monitoring other carers performance (spot checking) and liasing with service users and their families.
I am a very positive and extrovert person and I prefer to encourage and focus and on what an individual can do rather than what they can't.

I am an experienced personal assistant. I am confident in all aspects of moving and handling, including hoist work, slide boards/sheets, and rotundas, I have successfully completed a course in Equality & Diversity. I have gained numerous certificates including, caring for vulnerable adults, first aid, medication awareness, dementia and advanced dementia awareness, diabetes awareness and advanced diabetes, food hygiene plus many more. I have experience in peg feeding and working with young people as well as hands on experience working as a senior carer in the community, then as a qualified P.A for the last 7years . I have substantial experience in working with people with dementia as well as other mental and physical disabilities.
